The Lake Champlain Islands are less than an hour from both Burlington, VT, and Montreal. Plattsburg, New York is a scenic 20 minute ferry ride away. The area offers many attractions for the tourist, the summer vacationer, the winter sports enthusiast and the outdoorsman, including:

- Church Street – The central street of Burlington is a delightful pedestrian area with outdoor cafes, shopping, trees & sculpture, food vendors, stage & cinema theaters, clubs and music venues and street performers.
- Shelburne Farms – “a nonprofit education center for sustainability, 1,400 acres working farm, and National Historic Landmark” Shelburne Farms offers tours, a variety of types of events and horse drawn wagon and sleigh rides.
- Old Town Montreal – “Dating to the 17th century, Old Montreal’s narrow cobblestone streets are full of lively plazas and charming shops and cafes. Landmarks include the Notre-Dame Basilica, a soaring Gothic Revival church, and the Pointe-à-Callière museum with city archeological ruins. “
- Montreal Science Center – A hands on science center for the whole family with a large IMAX theater
- Stowe – a world class ski and summer adventure resort surrounded by the posh town of Stowe, offering fine dining and antiquing through scenic winding Vermont mountain countryside.
- Park Safari – Your car will be visited by giraffes, lions, elephants, tigers, cheetahs, chimpanzees and more as you drive through Park Safari. Also features live shows and a swimming pool with a sandy beach and ice cream parlor.
- La Ronde Amusement Park – A full size amusement park in Montreal with thrill rides, family rides, kid’s rides, entertainment, shopping and dining.
- The Montreal Jazz Festival – the world’s largest jazz festival is a 10 day event held annually in early summer in downtown Montreal, featuring over 300 artist from over 30 countries
- The Green Mountain Railroad – offering scenic tours and dining by rail, also seasonal events and private bookings
- The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum – an indoor/outdoor museum and research facility preserving the maritime history of Lake Champlain, the Museum also operates the canal schooner Lois Mclure on Lake Champlain as a sailing educational museum
- ArborTrek Adventures – A treetop adventure facility in Stowe offering climbing, obstacle courses and zip lines.
- Rock of Ages – Vermont’s most famous granite quarry offers tours of it’s spectacular operation and an education center with a theater and a gift shop
- Mountain climbing in the Green Mountains & Adirondacks, some local favorites are Mt. Mansfield, Camel’s Hump, and Jay Peak.
